The Jon Cohen Team is committed to giving back to the communities in which we live and work. We are active and hands-on in our volunteer work, with a long-term, global view of serving our community and surrounding areas. Our philanthropic efforts support civic, educational and environmental causes that are meaningful to our employees and clients.
We are very proud of our non-profit partnerships and have benefited from their passion and commitment to our schools, our neighbors and others in need. See below to learn more about how we work with these partners to make the greatest impact for the communities they serve.
CHEF – The Cherry Hill Education Foundation commits itself to support and enhance the quality of education of the public school children of the Township of Cherry Hill by raising and distributing funds for innovative programs in the pursuit of excellence in education. Jon currently serves as a member on the board of this organization as he grew up in the Cherry Hill school system and gets to enjoy watching his kids doing the same. CHEF has a lot of exciting events throughout the year. Keep an eye out for a familiar face in the Cherry Hill Dancing with the Stars this Spring!
Woodcrest Civic Association – After a meeting with the mayor about improving community in the Cherry Hill neighborhoods, Jon founded this neighborhood association group with a goal of bringing more community to the town and its neighborhood. With seasonal gatherings at local parks, community yard sales and involvement from the local police and fire department, this group is paving the way for other neighborhoods to follow suit. If you think that your neighborhood could benefit from a civic association, come speak to Jon about how to take that first step.
YPN (Young Professionals Network) – The first Habitat for Humanity volunteer day took place in January 2016. Reach out to Jon if you want to learn more about this great cause and how you can help.
Habitat For Humanity Burlington County is now accepting applications for interested and eligible homebuyers.
Reach out and Read; Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia – Reach Out and Read is a national nonprofit organization that prepares America’s youngest children to succeed in school by partnering with doctors to prescribe books and encourage families to read together. When hosting an event, party or meeting, big or small, the team has asked our friends, clients and partners to bring a book for donation. The impact is powerful. Families served by the program read together more often, and their children enter kindergarten with larger vocabularies and stronger language skills, better prepared to achieve to their potential.
Boot Campaign; Military Recovery Fund -This organization gives back to those who afford us all the freedoms of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Since its inception in 2009, the Boot Campaign raises more than $2 million annually to help service members, veterans and their families from every generation. The Jon Cohen Team donates to the Boot Campaign every time it sends a greeting card and continues to help spread awareness to its clients, friends and family.
